“Each team had periods of the game in which they were dominant,” said Schmidt in his Press conference.
“We still have a chance of qualifying in the second leg, as it’s only 1-0 and above all we are playing at home.

Leverkusen did score with Hakan Calhanoglu, but it was disallowed as the ball struck Stefan Kiessling in an offside position on the way through.
“I haven’t seen the footage yet, but it was probably the correct decision to rule the goal out.”
