Roma are reportedly after Lyon's Samuel Umtiti and Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho in an effort to restock their central defence.

The Giallorossi need to reorganise themselves at the back after selling Alessio Romagnoli and setting up the likely departure of Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Lupi's two targets at the moment are Lyon's Umtiti, whose name was brought up as part of the negotiations for Yanga-Mbiwa, and Liverpool's Sakho.

Umtiti, who can play in the centre and in the flank of the defence alike, signed an extension of his contract in July and has a deal with Lyon until 2019.

Sakho is currently finding limited space at Liverpool and may be willing to consider a move out.
