Julian Draxler has reportedly agreed a deal in principle with Juventus, but Schalke remain to be convinced.

The German side have allowed the Bianconeri to talk with the playmaker, as they seek to buy the trequartista Coach Massimiliano Allegri has asked for.

Gazzetta dello Sport believes Draxler has agreed in principle to make the move to Turin, and is prepared to sign a five-year contract worth €2.7m per season.

However, there is still significant disagreement between the Old Lady and Schalke over the value and nature of the transfer.

Draxler’s agent has predicted a deal could be struck for €25m, and Gazzetta believes that will be Juve’s offer.

However, the Bianconeri are keen to take the player on loan initially, with a mandatory redemption clause linked to appearances, due to concerns about the Germany international’s fitness.

Schalke, meanwhile, are holding out for €30m, and are only willing to sell the 21-year-old outright, so are resisting the proposal of a loan.
