The striker has been offered to numerous clubs, including Watford and Bologna, but so far turned down all moves.

President Massimo Ferrero told a fan on Twitter that he “can’t wait” until Okaka finally leaves, but the message has not reached the player.

“Some concrete offers arrived and shows of interest arrived, but they were politely declined,” agent Beppe Bozzo told Sampdorianews.net.

“It’s not that he didn’t consider them up to his standard, but rather he wanted to wait a bit. Personally I’ve only been his agent for two weeks, but I can say how happy Stefano is at Samp. He’s working so hard in pre-season training.”

Okaka turns 26 next month and his current contract is due to expire in June 2016.

“Leaving isn’t a life or death situation. The player is open to the club for a contract renewal or extension, so it isn’t out of the question that he could stay at Sampdoria for longer.

“He certainly will not leave the Blucerchiati as a free agent. He wants Sampdoria, or a club of a similar level that is able to offer an adequate financial package.”
