“I am very happy to be joining Palermo,” Brugman told Calciomercato.it.

“It is a great opportunity for me and I can’t wait to get started with Coach Beppe Iachini. I chose Palermo because they wanted me the most and this is a club that firmly believes in getting the best out of young players.

“It’ll be a pleasure to work with an experienced Coach like Iachini and play for the fantastic fans of Palermo. It’s also a wonderful city.

“Iachini convinced me precisely because he’s done such good work with young players. I realised how happy people were here thanks to Paulo Dybala, as we exchanged jerseys twice and he told me what a great club it is.

“I’m happy to step up into Serie A and to do so with this jersey. I am a dynamic creative midfielder who is good at taking opponents on. I can be used in any of the midfield roles and not just as a deep-lying playmaker. My idols have always been Andrea Pirlo and Sergio Busquets.”
