It was reported yesterday that the Granata were set to spend some of the money from Matteo Darmian’s imminent move to Manchester United on the full-back and Daniele Baselli.

However, Sky Sport has today reported that the deal is not as close as first thought, as Zappacosta has asked for 48 hours to consider whether or not to move to Turin.

Atalanta defender Davide Zappacosta has reportedly asked for two days to consider whether to accept a move to Torino.

However, the outlet has reported that Baselli has already given the go-ahead for a move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Verona’s Jacopo Sala has reportedly been identified as the alternative should Zappacosta refuse a move, while Tuttosport have reported that Toro are also looking to strengthen their attack.

The newspaper believes that the Granata will also use the Darmian fee to finance bids for Abel Hernandez of Hull City and Cesena’s Gregoire Defrel.

The report says that Hernandez could arrive on loan but that Hull would have to contribute to his wage, while Defrel would cost around €6m albeit with lower wage demands than the Uruguayan.
