Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon hopes to see Parma back in Serie A ‘as soon as possible’ after bankruptcy.

It was announced yesterday that the Ducali had been unable to find a buyer, and will therefore have to begin again in the amateur Serie D next season.

“Yesterday, the 100-year history of Parma came to an end,” Buffon, who began his career with the club, wrote on Facebook.
