Italy make numerous changes in a must-win game against Portugal for the European Under-21 Championship.

It kicks off in Uherske Hradiste at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

The Azzurrini had a disastrous start to their campaign in the Czech Republic, losing 2-1 in stoppages to 10-man Sweden.

Stefano Sturaro was also sent off in that game and received a three-match ban, so he’d only be available again if Italy reached the Final.

Domenico Berardi was on target with a penalty and again much of the pressure is on the Sassuolo striker, who completes a 4-3-3 formation with Andrea Belotti of Palermo and Christian Battocchio.

Lazio youth product Danilo Cataldi steps in for the suspended Sturaro, while Marco Benassi, Lorenzo Crisetig, Alessio Romagnoli, Cristian Biraghi replace Daniele Baselli, Federico Viviani, Stefano Sabelli and Matteo Bianchetti.

Portugal beat England 1-0 in their opening fixture of Group B thanks to a goal from Joao Mario.

Forward Ivan Cavaleiro is out injured, one of eight players in the squad with senior caps to their names.

Portugal dominated their qualifying campaign for the tournament, winning all 10 games with 29 goals scored and 10 conceded.

The referee is Szymon Marciniak of Poland.

Elsewhere in Group B, England beat Sweden 1-0, so if Italy get the victory tonight then all four sides will be level going into the final games.
