Kondogbia has become a transfer Derby della Madonnina, as the two San Siro sides clash openly for his signature.

This evening representatives from both clubs are in Monte Carlo for negotiations with the 22-year-old, who is valued at €30m.

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani had a meeting with Monaco directors and when emerging joked that Juventus would also get involved in a “Trofeo TIM” – the traditional pre-season tournament with the three clubs.

Juve let it be known that they are not interested in Kondogbia.

Later on, Inter directors Piero Ausilio and Marco Fassone met with Monaco, then had dinner with one of Kondogbia’s agents in the same hotel where Galliani is staying.

According to Sport Italia, the Nerazzurri have agreed terms with the player, thanks also to Coach Roberto Mancini’s personal phone call.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest Milan are the favourites as far as Monaco are concerned.

Sky Sport Italia claim the Rossoneri's wage deal is worth €4m per season plus bonuses if they qualify for the Champions League, while Inter's latest offer is €3.6m and could grow.
