“I know the euphoria we’d feel if the Poljud stadium was packed with supporters tomorrow. I am very sorry we are playing in an empty Poljud.

“If we score a goal, we won’t have anyone in the stands to celebrate with. That is a sad thought.

“We are missing a lot of players, but so are Italy. Croatia are ready to give our best, but Italy is always Italy and that means it’ll be tough.”
