The Blaugrana eventually emerged 3-1 winners in Berlin, completing their Treble and lifting the trophy for the fifth time.

“All the Finals were difficult, but in this case we went head to head with the best and Juve made everything difficult for us,” said the midfielder in his Press conference.

“It was a spectacular night. We thought that we could never repeat the Treble, but it all went well and we have to celebrate when that happens. This was far from simple.”

It was the final game for Xavi, who will be leaving to join Al Sadd in Qatar.

“I think leaving will be less difficult for him with the Champions League under his belt. When I think of the past, I get goosebumps, as I was really so fortunate to come to this club.

“I still don’t even fully understand the value of this victory. Next season we could try again for the Treble, as there are always fresh challenges, but for now we celebrate.”

Luis Enrique refused to commit his future to Barcelona and could walk away over the summer.

“He is our Coach and I hope he will continue to be. He hasn’t said otherwise. There will be new challenges and we must make the most of his talents.”
