Fabio Cannavaro has officially been sacked as Coach of Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.
The former Italy defender took over when Marcello Lippi left at the end of last season.
However, today they appointed ex-Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari on a two-year and six month contract.
“According to the club’s strategic development needs, it was decided to appoint Mr Scolari as Coach of Guangzhou.”
Cannavaro had been in charge since December 1 2014, but will not be required after June 5 2015.
