Lazio Sporting Director Igli Tare has revealed that Miroslav Klose will remain in Rome and that a new signing will be announced this week.
The Biancoceleste secured a Champions League spot on Sunday evening when they beat Napoli at the San Paolo and Tare explained that Coach Stefano Pioli’s contract will be extended.
“Klose will stay with us, he hasn’t expressed a desire to leave and has another year on his deal,” Tare said in an interview with Radio CRC.

“We have to take a few days off and then start again with a solid base, we have already bought three players so we are at a good stage and a couple more arrivals will improve the level of the team.
“We will sign a central defender and an attacking midfielder and in a few days we will announce a new signing.
“Pioli? His contract isn’t due to expire, it provided for an automatic extension in the event of qualifying for Europe. We’re happy and fortunate to work with a Coach like him.”
