“I want the team to be compact and focused, that's the only way we can pick up a result. The supporters have always shown passion and loyalty.

“Cagliari have real quality, they are a team that have consolidated their experience in Serie A over many years.

“Unfortunately at the most crucial moments we've been penalised by injuries.

“The team always fought hard and developed over time, we came short of a little good luck.

“We always commanded respected, in every pitch we played on, so we do regret not having reached our target.”
