Napoli Coach Rafa Benitez will reportedly meet President Aurelio De Laurentiis this morning to confirm his departure from the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport believes that the Spaniard will meet De Laurentiis at Castelvolturno today to have a face-to-face discussion.

The President is believed to have resumed contact with Sampdoria Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, who is touted as the most likely successor to Benitez.

The former Liverpool and Inter boss is understood to have rejected a new deal because he was upset about certain decisions, from a lack of communication to the Vesuviani’s media silence.

A further hint at his imminent departure is that Benitez’s goalkeeping Coach Javi Valero has moved his family back to Spain and moved out of his rented flat in Naples.

The newspaper also reports that the club will struggle to keep Jose Callejon and Gonzalo Higuain should they fail to qualify for the Champions League, as the pair will have no intention of staying.
