“I think that aside from the ability of my directors, this is the result of humility, the spirit of sacrifice and the unity of every component of the club over the last two years,” Stirpe told Sky Sport Italia.
“Everyone deserves praise, especially the players who believed right to the end. It’s a dream come true that nobody expected.
“I thought at most we’d be in the running for the play-offs, but this final run of eight games unbeaten was a surprise even to me. The squad believed, though.”
Frosinone had never been in Serie B until nine years ago, while this is their second consecutive promotion after stepping up from Lega Pro.
“All promotions are wonderful and every one is emblematic in certain ways. This one has made my father’s dream come true.
“The territory can recover its identity and spirit for a new era of development.”
