According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, they are targeting two Premier League forwards with plenty of Serie A experience.

The first is Liverpool striker Borini, who is increasingly frustrated at the lack of playing time with the Reds jersey.

He would relish an opportunity to be a regular starter in Serie A, where he could catch the eye of Italy Coach Antonio Conte.

Other Italian clubs are interested in Borini, but Toro would be able to guarantee first choice status.

Uruguay international Abel Hernandez only left last summer after helping Palermo to promotion from Serie B.

Still only 24, he scored four Premier League goals in 23 games for Hull City, falling down the pecking order.
