Fiorentina have reportedly asked Tottenham for Brazilian midfielder Paulinho.
According to La Nazione newspaper, the Viola made an approach over the last few days.
They are seeking a new midfielder to replace Alberto Aquilani, whose contract is due to expire, while David Pizarro’s repeated injury problems are also a concern.
Paulinho is heading towards the Spurs exit and had previously also been linked with Roma, Juventus and Napoli.
