Milan could change ownership, but Pippo Inzaghi stands by Silvio Berlusconi and would love to stay next season.

The Coach spoke in a Press conference ahead of tomorrow night’s trip to Napoli and naturally was asked about this morning’s deal with investor Bee Taechaubol.

“I spoke to the President and stand by what he said, in other words that there is nothing official yet,” noted Inzaghi.

“I am accustomed to Berlusconi’s Presidency and won everything with him. Any decision the President makes will be to get Milan great again.”

It’s believed the uncertainty over club ownership prompted Berlusconi to delay sacking Inzaghi after two consecutive defeats to Udinese and Genoa.

“The club has not told me anything. I hope to carry on here for another year and a half. We do feel that we have to prove ourselves and I will prepare every game as if it was the Champions League Final.

“I know what Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani think of me. I am just disappointed that I cannot repay them with results, especially as they put so much faith in me.”

There’s a growing absentee list, including Jeremy Menez on a four-match ban for insulting the officials.

“His two yellow cards should not have been given, but his reaction was also wrong. It is only right that he pays for that,” added Inzaghi.

“I know Mattia De Sciglio will play on the right and Andrea Poli returns. I have to evaluate whether to start Jack Bonaventura out front, as I have some doubts as to the Menez alternatives.

“Ultimately tactics mean little compared to mentality. I hope the team can feel freer to play its football. Unfortunately I see that real effort isn’t enough to change course.

“We want to prove that we can end the season brightly.”
