Inter could set off a domino effect of goalkeepers involving Samir Handanovic, Norberto Neto, and Petr Cech among others.

The Nerazzurri's campaign to find a new goalkeeper could start from a transfer not under their control, as Manchester United's David de Gea nears the expiry of his contract and looks set to head off to Real Madrid, where he could pick up Iker Casillas' mantle.

The Nerazzurri's campaign to find a new goalkeeper could start from a transfer not under their control, as Manchester United's David de Gea nears the expiry of his contract and looks set to head off to Real Madrid, where he could pick up Iker Casillas' mantle.

Inter's Handanovic also has a contract that expires in June 2016, and should De Gea move to Real, his agent Federico Pastorello may find him a place among the Red Devils.

This in turn would open a vacancy between the posts for il Biscione, and Calciomercato.com reports of a possible swoop for Neto.

The Fiorentina keeper already turned down offers to renew his contract, will be a free agent this summer and is believed to have an agreement with Juventus, but no signed contract yet.

The Nerazzurri may yet attempt to swoop for the player, who could enjoy a starting berth with them, rather than having to compete with Bianconeri captain Gianluigi Buffon.

It is reported today that Neto will not accept signing for Juve only to go elsewhere on loan until Buffon retires.

Alternatives to Neto include Petr Cech, whose contract with Chelsea expires this year, as well as Genoa's Mattia Perin and Atalanta's Marco Sportiello.
