Zdenek Zeman feels Cagliari are “very unlucky” after their 2-0 defeat to Genoa, but he believes in safety.

The Sardinians have lost seven of their last eight games and remain in the bottom two.

“It’s a shame, as the team does produce good football, but then we hit the post, the goalkeeper performs great saves and there are refereeing decisions,” Zeman told Sky Sport Italia.

“Nothing seems to go our way. We’re very unlucky. We’re lacking something physically too, as in the second half we were unable to keep the tempo up.

“I still believe in safety, as we’ve got a good chance and we saw that today. There is the desire and the quality. We just hope to have more good fortune.”
