Roberto Donadoni admits Parma’s 1-0 victory over Juventus was “like a fairy tale” and they will keep fighting.

The Ducali are bottom of the table, were docked three points, are under administration following bankruptcy and nobody at the club has been paid since July 2014.

Despite all this, and the ban for captain Alessandro Lucarelli, they’ve earned seven points in their last three games against Inter, Udinese and Juventus.

Despite all this, and the ban for captain Alessandro Lucarelli, they’ve earned seven points in their last three games against Inter, Udinese and Juventus.

“We won against the leaders and that is something to be satisfied about,” Coach Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“We knew how much our fans cared about facing a side like Juve and we’re happy to have given them this joyous evening.

“I think it’s only right to give credit to the lads for their extraordinary efforts. We know that there’s only one path to take and that is to prove ourselves.

“We want to end this campaign well and create foundations for the future, plus repay the fans for their love.

“I have a young daughter and was watching a fairy tale with her today. This match reminded me that fairy tales can come true.”

Donadoni also revealed he’s taken an extra step to help Parma, as his restaurant is one of the new shirt sponsors.

“I must thank my two associates. We’re all trying to give a hand so we can reach the end with dignity.”
