Roberto Donadoni hailed the “pride” of his Parma players, who beat Udinese 1-0 in a rescheduled Serie A match.

The tie was originally postponed on February 22 because the club didn’t have enough money to pay for stewards or security at the Stadio Tardini.

“The result makes everything seem bigger, but the work of these lads has been constant,” Coach Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“The result makes everything seem bigger, but the work of these lads has been constant,” Coach Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“My lads always proved they have pride. At the moment we’ve got a better sense of certainty thanks to the administrators and it’s helping us to focus on the football.

“It’s our duty towards ourselves as well as the fans to continue like this to the end of the season.”

Parma players haven’t been paid since July 2014, but they’ve amassed four points from the last two games against Inter and Udinese.

Their next test on Saturday is against runaway Serie A leaders Juventus.

“It’s not easy to play with so little time to recover. I don’t understand why we didn’t play yesterday, when Juve played that evening against Fiorentina.”
