Legend Franco Baresi has called for patience to solve Milan's crisis, reminding everyone that the 'brand' is still strong.

The 1994 World Cup finalist was at an event organised by Rossoneri sponsor Fujitsu, and he took the opportunity to discuss the current crisis that sees Milan floundering at eighth in Serie A.

“We're not used to seeing Milan placed so low in the standings, but I'd say that in the last few years our strength always come from our philosophy, our culture, our organisation and our sense of belonging. Our brand is extremely strong.

“We need a bit of patience to get back to winning on the field. We're emerging from two consecutive victories. This is good for the team to find calm and confidence again.

“As long as we have a chance at reaching the objective we all know about [European qualification] we must all give our best.

“It's hard to say what our odds of getting into Europe are. We still have the chance to make it so every Sunday we must give our best to get it done.”

The former defender was also asked for his opinions on current Coach Filippo Inzaghi.

“I don't want to pass judgment. I think it's been a very difficult year, with many injuries. We've lacked consistency, so the results were not positive. We must look at what went wrong and do our best to improve that.

“Let's think about ending this season well, then we'll think about the future."

Finally, Baresi was asked which Milan player had impressed him the most.

“Jeremy Menez has done some extraordinary things. He scored many goals and showed a lot of great moves. He's a quality player who was decisive in several occasions.”
