Parma's players will come together to promote the club's sale to potential buyers, quoting a price of €40-50m.

The Ducali's financial crisis, which has seen fixtures postponed, has become a national scandal and many believe the only way to save the club would be for a new owner to step in.

Were a new President to come in and pay the club’s sporting debts, the Emilian side would be granted entry to Serie B next season.

City mayor Federico Pizzarotti announced on provincial TV network Teleducato that the players will be joining in an effort to find a new owner.

“On Thursday we'll see a promotional initiative by the players and a television network, Sky, to explain how this exceptional situation is being handled and to look for buyers who can sustain the club in Serie B,” he said.

“The most important players will be there along with [club advisor Demetrio] Albertini.

"It would be enough for someone to provide €40-50m.

“Consider that a newcomer would have to pay not only for the club's purchase, but for the ongoing expenses too. After all, if you want to return to Serie A, you've got to spend something.”
