Hellas had been well on top with a Luca Toni brace and Juanito Gomez Taleb curler, but the game was turned on its head in the space of 11 minutes.

“I cannot find an explanation for what happened,” the Coach told Rai Sport.

“We did so well up until the 70th minute, then had a total black-out for a quarter of an hour. Cesena scored two great goals and we paid the price for taking our foot off the gas prematurely.

“It’s a great shame, as we had prepared so well for this match.”

Luca Toni had bagged a brace, taking his tally up to 15 Serie A goals this season.

“Toni finalises the work done by the whole squad and we could’ve celebrated a win here. We deserved to win, so we’re angry at ourselves after this.”
