Inter midfielder Brozovic was one of those on target in today’s 5-1 demolition of Norway, though the Scandinavians missed a penalty.

Azerbaijan had lost their previous four matches in the group, but saw off Malta 2-0 this evening to leapfrog them in the standings.

Italy need a victory away to Bulgaria this evening in order to stay joint top with Croatia.

Croatia now have 13 points, Italy 10, Norway nine, Bulgaria four, Azerbaijan three and Malta one.
