“The secrets of good football are professionalism, sacrifice and quality. Lazio have all of those. The break for international duty didn’t come at the right time for us, but the fans are firing us up and we know the next game is always the most important.”

There are two breakout stars for the Biancocelesti this season, aged 21 and 20.

“In Felipe Anderson the club found a player of huge potential. This year he is maturing and improving, so he would’ve found more space regardless of Antonio Candreva’s injury.

“He has really stepped up a gear in terms of his movement and is wonderful between the lines, where he’s practically unstoppable. He could run into space and do even better.

“Cataldi is a midfielder who will become the complete player. He has dynamism, pace and quality. I think the right person to compare him to is Marchisio.”
