Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United still hope to sign Felipe Anderson for €45m despite his Lazio contract extension.

The 21-year-old Brazilian signed a new deal holding him until June 2020, which reportedly doubled his previous wages.

Nonetheless, Premier League clubs remain adamant they can tempt him into a summer departure from the Stadio Olimpico.

The offer on the table would have to be in the region of €45m – £30m.

Chelsea are thought to be the most persistent of the bunch, as Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of Felipe Anderson, according to the Telegraph.

Other options include Manchester City and Manchester United, while Liverpool have apparently fallen back in the running.

A Chelsea scout was reportedly in the stands to watch him star in Lazio’s 4-0 hammering of Fiorentina and the recent victory over Torino.

Lazio paid €7.5m for Felipe Anderson, though he failed to score a single goal in his debut Serie A season and missed absolute sitters.

He has found his feet this year under Coach Stefano Pioli and scored nine goals in his last 11 games.

Much will depend on whether Lazio qualify for the Champions League, as that would allow them to turn down huge offers for their Brazilian talent.
