“The team is in good shape and must now concentrate on Serie A, as tomorrow will be fundamental for our campaign,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“We are trying to catch up and therefore cannot afford a mistake. The team has been constantly growing since we’ve been together and we’ve always been very united.

“I think this is my best incarnation of Fiorentina, but it’s still not enough. We need to step on the gas again and not rest on our laurels.”

The Viola are through to the Europa League quarter-finals against Dynamo Kiev, the Coppa Italia semi-final with Juventus and are joint fifth in Serie A.

“We have to aim for every single objective. I am sure the team won’t let itself get overtaken by euphoria.

“Dynamo are a strong side in good shape, top of their League table and with very important players. I think the two legs will be more difficult than we can imagine.”

First up, Fiorentina travel to the Stadio Friuli against Antonio Di Natale’s Udinese.

“Toto is a big danger, as he has sharp moves, but Udinese are a collective who know what to do. I have always lost in Udine and it will be very difficult to win here.

“In recent weeks they have found a sense of unity. They know how to wait and hit you on the break, while I fear some of their individual talents too.”

Mohamed Salah is expected to start, though Mario Gomez is not 100 per cent fit after his lay-off.

“Salah is doing extraordinary things. He deserved the goal against Roma, is very quick and tactically helps out the team.

“Gomez has been out for two weeks and I don’t know if he has 90 minutes in his legs, but he is at our disposal.”
