“It was an incredible game earlier this season, as we conceded a goal after controlling the match and missed a penalty with Gonzalo Higuain,” Benitez told Radio Kiss Kiss.

That meeting ended 1-1 in Bergamo back in October and now Atalanta are under the orders of ex-Napoli Coach Edy Reja.

“I haven’t heard from Reja, but I’m sure he knows what to do. After this game I’ll wish him good luck in winning all the other fixtures.”

Benitez was naturally asked about the upcoming Europa League quarter-final against Wolfsburg.

“Playing the second leg at the San Paolo is a small advantage, but we are talking about the team that’s second in the Bundesliga. They beat Inter 5-2 on aggregate, have quality players who can make the difference like Kevin de Bruyne, Andre Schurrle and Ivan Perisic, who had been our transfer target.

“Hecking is also a very experienced Coach. The stats say we are both attack-minded teams, but the German League is always on the attack. They have a strong side who beat Bayern Munich.”

Napoli will be challenging for the Europa League, Coppa Italia semi-final and to grab a top three finish in Serie A.

“We have many matches to play and April is a special month for me. In Spain we say that you if you sow the seeds well in April, you reap the rewards in May. That’s what we will try to do.”
