Stephan El Shaarawy is “gratified by Arsenal interest,” but committed himself to Milan and a full recovery.

The striker has been out of action since the end of January with a fractured metatarsal in his foot.

“I am recovering well, later this week I should be removing the cast and then the rehabilitation process can begin,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.

The Little Pharaoh was asked about reports Arsenal are still placing bids for his signature next season.

The Little Pharaoh was asked about reports Arsenal are still placing bids for his signature next season.

“I am gratified by Arsenal interest, certainly, but my objective is to come back for Milan and do well at Milan.”

The club needs his help right now, as Coach Pippo Inzaghi is hanging by a thread.

“Inzaghi is too good a person. He is someone who gives 100 per cent and as a player I hope he can take us all out of this difficult situation.

“I think the game with Fiorentina will be fundamental for everyone, not just him, but the team to turn this season around.

“There are 12 games to go and we must all try to salvage the campaign in a dignified fashion. We are all to blame for this and fully aware we can do better. The next 12 matches are all like cup finals.”
