“We always play to score and to win, whether at home or away. We want the same attitude no matter the venue,” said Coach Iachini.

“Paradoxically we had a very different set of results on our travels. We hit the woodwork 13 times, most of them away from home, and a few situations didn’t go our way.

“We continue our journey and are well aware we must improve in terms of experience and be more clinical in away games.”

Both these sides were promoted from Serie B last summer, but while Cesena are in the bottom two, Palermo can challenge for Europe.

“Cesena are going through a great period of form, as they beat Lazio and Udinese as well as holding Juventus, so that says a lot about the atmosphere we’ll find at the Stadio Manuzzi.”

Iachini has to make adjustments, as Andrea Rispoli is suspended with Giancarlo Gonzalez, Achraf Lazaar and Michel Morganella injured.

Palermo squad for Cesena: Fulignati, Sorrentino, Ujkani; Andelkovic, Daprelà, Emerson, Milanovic, Ortiz, Terzi, Vitiello; Barreto, Bolzoni, Chochev, Della Rocca, Jajalo, Maresca, Quaison, Rigoni, Vazquez; Belotti, Bentivegna, Dybala, Joao Silva
