Goalscorer Seydou Keita felt a 1-1 draw “isn’t enough” for Roma, as Juventus still have greater self-belief.

Vasilis Torosidis was sent off when it was still 0-0, but a Carlos Tevez free kick was wiped out by Keita’s free header.

“We woke up too late, because after the red card we had to work twice as hard,” Keita told Mediaset Premium and Sky Sport Italia.

“We woke up too late, because after the red card we had to work twice as hard,” Keita told Mediaset Premium and Sky Sport Italia.

“We needed to win today, we drew and it isn’t enough. Juve are a great team and we cannot think of dominating them for 90 minutes.

“However, we should’ve played the whole game the way we did in the last 20 minutes. If we had always played like this, we wouldn’t be nine points behind Juve either.

“In order to play good football you need a cool head and sense of calm, which we don’t have at the moment.

“Juventus have been playing together and winning as a group for several years, so they have the calm and self-belief we don’t. We also struggled constantly chasing the League.”
