Parma President Giampietro Manenti hit back at the Mayor and insists “the money will arrive early next week.”

Mayor Federico Pizzarotti bitterly criticised Manenti after yesterday’s meeting, claiming there was no clear plan and he was “not credible” for the club’s safety.

“I don’t care what the Mayor says. I am not running an election campaign, nor do I have political interests to safeguard,” Manenti told Teleducato today.

The patron has been promising investments will come in for the club on the verge of bankruptcy, but the players still haven’t been paid since July.

Bailiffs continue to take away items from the Collecchio training ground, from Roberto Donadoni’s bench to washing machines, printers and lockers.

The squad called off their last two Serie A games against Udinese and Genoa.
