The FIGC has given the go-ahead for Parma’s match at Genoa on Sunday to be postponed, so the Ducali are not yet doomed.

The club’s players have refused to play the match after six months of unpaid wages for themselves and the staff, and asked for the game to be postponed.

If that request had been refused and Parma didn’t take the field, they’d have been in breach of League rules and thrown out of Serie A.

However, FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio has allowed the game to be suspended and played at a later date.

"On behalf of our organisation, it's ok for the game between Genoa and Parma to be postponed," Tavecchio told Sky.

The Emilian side now have two games to catch up on, after last weekend’s home game with Udinese was also postponed.
