Napoli Coach Rafael Benitez admits he will make significant changes to his side for the return leg with Trabzonspor tomorrow.

The Partenopei hold a 4-0 first-leg advantage over the Turkish side as they prepare to welcome them to San Paolo, and the former Liverpool manager admits he will rest some stars.

“I’m not going to lie, we’ve got a big lead,” Benitez said in his pre-match Press conference.

“That means I can manage the squad, and give playing time to those who have played less and want to prove they deserve more opportunities, like Dries [Mertens] who was unlucky to be sent off [against Sassuolo] but always has the right attitude.

“He’s more willing to work defensively that before. Some players will definitely play again, and those who don’t will have the chance against Torino [on Sunday].

“The squad is proving that it’s strong, but there’s still plenty of room for growth. Many players want to do well, in attack, in midfield, on the wing and in defence.

“Everyone is driven to do better.”
