Striker Mattia Destro says he is 'still adapting' to Milan's gameplay, but he's never lost faith in his abilities.

The 23-year-old has notched one goal in three matches since his transfer to the Rossoneri in January, but admits he is only in the opening phase.

“I haven't been here long and I still have to adapt to the gameplay of this team”, he said, in a promotional event for the Gillette razor brand.

“But we're doing some good work in training and we're really motivated to win every Sunday.

“I'm still integrating myself into the mechanisms designed by the Coach [Filippo Inzaghi] and that characterise this team. I need to keep working on that.

“[Fellow striker Jeremy] Menez is not a problem. I'm the one who has to adapt, and I'll be doing that right away by speaking with the Coach and my teammates.

“I've never seen our Coach looking worried. We always give everything over the week so we can do well on Sunday.

“Yesterday's victory [against Cesena] was important because it gave us confidence.

“To get out of the crisis we need to find consistency in our performances.

“Winning two or three matches in a row would be great for us to build confidence.

“But I always believed in myself, and I still do.

“I know my skills and I don't lose faith from one Sunday to the next.”
