Eusebio Di Francesco admits Fiorentina “deserved victory,” as Sassuolo suffered their first home defeat in five months.
The Neroverdi had lost only once at the Mapei Stadium this term, but were beaten 3-1 by a Khouma Babacar brace and Mohamed Salah.
“Fiorentina deserved victory and should be given credit for a great performance, especially in their passing game,” Di Francesco told Sky Sport Italia.

“We were too hasty and had some opportunities we should’ve done better with, but Fiorentina have more quality on the ball.
“We must realise that to improve we need a different attitude. We can learn from this defeat and have a more determined approach against Napoli next week.”
