Italian media claim Cesare Prandelli has turned down an offer to become Coach of Japan.

The former Italy and Galatasaray boss is currently out of work following his dismissal in Turkey.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Japanese Federation approached Prandelli to ask if he’d like to take over from Javier Aguirre.

“I am very, very honoured, but don’t have enough time to decide,” he is said to have replied.

Japan already found success with an Italian tactician, winning the Asian Cup under Alberto Zaccheroni.
