On from today's statement from Empoli declaring that the Uruguayan would be returning to Inter, Laxalt has been turned to the Grifone as expected.
The club released a statement on their site which also reiterates the transfer dealings with Sassuolo made public earlier by the Neroverdi.

“Genoa CFC communicates the acquisition from USC Sassuolo of the defender Lorenzo Ariaudo (on loan, No 41) and the striker Leonardo Pavoletti (on loan with a purchase clause, No 19).
“The co-ownership of defender Francesco Acerbi was resolved in favour of the club from Emilia-Romagna.
“At the same time, Genoa CFC also makes it known that they have acquired from FC Internazionale Milan the rights of midfielder Diego Laxalt (No 93), on loan for 18 months with an optional purchase clause.”
