The Giallorossi face Fiorentina this evening and need a victory to avoid dropping even further behind Serie A leaders Juventus.

“There are moments that are better or worse, when you’re closer or further away, depending on the circumstances,” director Baldissoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are coming here to win, but ultimately the only gap that really counts is at the end of the season. People expect a lot from Roma, which means we have done great work in recent years and we’re happy to take on that responsibility.”

He was asked whether there was truth in the rumour Roma are unhappy with the way Garcia uses younger players.

“That is absolute rubbish. We are very happy with Garcia and there is absolutely no problem between him and the club.”

Roma have been in advanced negotiations for both Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah and Shakhtar Donetsk forward Luiz Adriano, but can only sign one non-EU player.

“We will probably do something on the market. We are evaluating many situations. We will also continue to invest in youth, as we always have done.”
