The initial fears were confirmed by a Biancocelesti statement, as x-rays showed a spiroid peroneal malleolus fracture.

He will require surgery, which the club confirms will likely be on Tuesday January 27.

The Serbian striker was attempting to score the third goal at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening, but stumbled and the ball continued on to Marco Parolo.
