Reports indicate that Parma forward Antonio Cassano is taking legal action against his club for not paying his salary in recent months.

The Crociati have been in troubled financial waters in recent times, whilst Tommaso Ghirardi's sale of the club to investor Rezart Taci was meant to start the process of repaying some of the club's debts.

Even so, their prominent fantasista is allegedly tired of not being paid for his work. According to outlets including SportMediaset and the Gazzetta dello Sport, the player is taking legal action for non-payment of his wages over the last six months.

If confirmed, the story would re-open transfer links with interested parties, said in recent weeks to include Genoa.

The Gazzetta speculate that the situation could lead to Cassano and Parma terminating the remainder of his contract.
