The Giallorossi have been heavily linked with the winger in recent weeks, with the player’s agent saying it’s ‘very likely’ the Egyptian will leave Stamford Bridge on loan.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website believes that talks are taking place today, with Salah’s agent, representatives of Chelsea and a third party representing Roma in attendance.

The site believes that the sticking point is related to how much Roma will pay for an initial loan deal. Roma are said to be offering €500,000 for a six-month loan, with €14m being paid next summer to make the deal permanent.

However, the website states that Chelsea are asking for €1.5m for an initial loan deal, and have a strong bargaining position with Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid and Monaco also interested.

The Blues have also not ruled out including Salah as part of any deal for Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado.
