Stefano Colantuono said aggressive pressing was the key as Atalanta stunned Milan at San Siro.

The Coach spoke to Sky Sport Italia after German Denis decided a 1-0 victory in the Lombardy Derby.

“Milan are a very dangerous side if you leave them space, as their forwards are very fast, so we wanted to press them high up the field and not give them time on the ball.

“We tried to dispossess Milan as soon as possible, interrupting their passes when they tried to send Menez wide.

“I thought we deserved to be more than a goal up at half-time, as we had some great scoring opportunities. There are regrets that we left the game open for so long.
“Luckily we remained compact and solid, so were able to hold out when Milan stepped up a gear in the second half.

“Despite numerous injury problems, Atalanta are still pretty much in the same position as this time last season.”
