Inter could bring Mattia Destro back over the summer by selling goalkeeper Samir Handanovic to Roma.

The exchange is in the works for next season, according to Sport Mediaset.

It would be a return for 23-year-old Destro, who grew up in the Nerazzurri youth academy until he was sold to Genoa for €6.5m in January 2011.

His value has since sky-rocketed and Milan are thought to be interested in a loan with option to buy worth €20m.

An Inter reunion has been mentioned before, while it is well known that Roma are looking for a goalkeeper to replace ageing Morgan De Sanctis.

Handanovic has long been consistently one of the best shot-stoppers in Serie A and a penalty specialist.

If the Slovenia international is also valued at around €20m, then a straight swap would be conceivable.
