Maurizio Sarri said Empoli have “regrets” after their 1-0 defeat away to Sampdoria.
“In the first half we didn’t make the most of three or four really good counter-attacks and then went behind to a great individual goal from Eder,” Sarri told Rai Sport.
“We were able to put pressure on Samp, but not enough to get an equaliser. This is a difficult stadium to play in.
