Cagliari director Francesco Marroccu confirms “Daniel Osvaldo is our first choice,” but Torino seem to be in the lead.
The striker is expected to leave Inter just six months into his season-long loan after a blazing row with teammate Mauro Icardi and Coach Roberto Mancini.
“Osvaldo is our first choice,” Marroccu declared in a Press conference today.

“Osvaldo is our first choice,” Marroccu declared in a Press conference today.
“We are confident and will let our affiliates continue working, as they know the Inter directors well and know how to act.
“It will be a sort of choice from the heart, because Osvaldo knows Zola and Casiraghi very well.”
Gianfranco Zola and Pierluigi Casiraghi were the co-Coaches of the Italy Under-21 side when Osvaldo was playing for the Azzurrini.
As of Christmas Eve, Zola is the Cagliari Coach with Casiraghi as his assistant manager.
However, reports continue to maintain that Osvaldo – who is owned by Southampton – would prefer a switch to Torino.
