Roberto Donadoni said Parma “gave all they had” for the victory over Fiorentina and now await reinforcements.

The Ducali had won only two games all season before this, but an early Andrea Costa header proved enough for a 1-0 result.

“It’s an important victory for the team, who gave all they had to bring home this result,” Donadoni told Radio Rai.

“I think it was deserved. We had more chances to score after Fiorentina went a man down and anyone can suffer against the Tuscans.

“This win proves that the side has absolutely no intention of giving up. With the transfer window we must try to give more vigour to the squad and I hope the new owners have that intention.

“If we really want to try and chase down safety, then we need fresh legs.”
